She Says...

Agency over Self is therapeutic and transformative

Most mainstream media outlets neglect to include a 'be yourself' section. It's not customary for all body types—all people—to be celebrated, never mind the unique minds within. If everyone, from birth to the present day, never saw a contradicting image of themselves, someone else's depiction of attractiveness, measure of greatness, intelligence, value, etc., we would feel a bit better about ourselves. Clearly, there are other issues that can greatly impact a life (and there always will be), but in The She Section, today and all days to follow, we're focused on unlearning the nefarious impositions of a one-sided, beauty-obsessed world; one where the constant scrutiny of people, but particularly women, has created a tradition of self-hatred within us.

As little girls, some of us were lucky enough to be told how beautiful we were. Bless those who loved us enough to do so because once society took hold of us, many of us lost sight of ourselves. That good ol' 'one-size-fits-all' approach towards acceptability forced many of us goddesses—masterminds to feel underappreciated by the world around us. So how do you help yourself reclaim the spotlight in your own life? You know, back to a time where none of this trivial ish mattered because you actually felt good about yourself before someone told you not to?

The She Section is designed to help you celebrate the essence of who you are, at your core, minus the aesthetic, mental and spiritual ideals of others, through a comprehensive focus on heath and wellness; one section at a time. Unique and equally powerful, unapologetically embrace your true self armed with structural confidence.
